About Marla Lichtenberger, DVM, DACVECC Minimize

 

Marla Lichtenberger is owner of Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals. She is an internationally aclaimed speaker and researcher.

Doctor Marla Lichtenberger is an emergency critical care specialist
in practice since 1987. She brings a wealth of experience to
Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals, including general
practice experience, internship at the Animal Medical Center in
New York and residency training in Milwaukee, leading to board
certification in Emergency and Critical Care.

Doctor Lichtenberger’s contributions to the profession are
extensive, having served on the executive board of the Wisconsin
Veterinary Medical Association (2004-2006), president of the
Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Association (2002-2007) and PR
chair for the College of Emergency and Critical Care committee
(2002-2007).

She is a frequent international speaker on emergency and critical
care for small animals and exotics, as well as a published
researcher. Dr. Lichtenberger’s peer-reviewed publications
include the Journal of Veterinary Emergency Critical Care, Vet
Therapeutics and Resuscitation. She is on the board of small
mammal exotic pet committee, which is preparing the first ABVP
small mammals board exam for 2009. Dr. Lichtenberger will be
the first boarded small mammal specialist in Wisconsin.

Nobody understands the needs of referring veterinarians better
than Dr. Marla Lichtenberger and she and her staff pledge to
